We’re delighted to share with you some photos of the flowers from Jade’s wedding, which we did last weekend. Jade was very easy going, but had one thing she felt very strongly about – No roses! We loved this, as it allowed us to get creative and use lots of the gorgeous seasonal flowers available in South Africa at the moment.
Originally, Jade wanted all white for the cute chapel she was getting married in, then a few weeks before the wedding we shared a picture that had a touch of blue in it and she loved it, and said ‘I want that!’.
For the church flowers we used snaps, alstromeria (Jade’s favourite!) lace flower, phlox, wax flower, silver brunia, white delphiniums, and for a touch of blue, pale and dark blue delphiniums.
Jade and Jon wanted buttonholes with a ‘wild flower’ feel and a blue ribbon. The groomsmen and Dads had lavender, wax and a dark blue delphinium flower, whilst the Groom’s buttonhole was all-white.
For her bouquet, Jade wanted lots of small colourful flowers, like the
West Coast in Spring, and with no roses or lisianthus! She was after a round-shaped bouquet with a soft look, and asked for alstromeria and delphiniums to be included. We also added phlox, tiny, pale yellow narcissus, lavender, limonium and wax flower.
We hear it was a wonderful day, and wish Jade and Jon a very happy future together!
